Dear (absentee) Senator Kerry,

While posing for the cameras before the masses of adoring blind idiocy at the DemocRATic National Convention, you gave a half-assed salute while announcing that you were "reporting for duty." Cute. And clever. Nice lateral jab a Dubya.

You love flaunting your military record, don't you? Viet Nam. Rank. Medals. Vanity plate on your Chrysler. Resume fodder.

However, there is one, gnawing question that you need to answer: Are you a war hero or criminal?

Back in 1971 you said:

"There are all kinds of atrocities, and I would have to say that, yes, yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed in that I took part in shootings in free fire zones. I conducted harassment and interdiction fire. I used 50 calibre machine guns, which we were granted and ordered to use, which were our only weapon against people. I took part in search and destroy missions, in the burning of villages. All of this is contrary to the laws of warfare, all of this is contrary to the Geneva Conventions ..."

Now 33-years later you are asking the American people to vote for you - A SELF-PROCLAIMED WAR CRIMINAL.

Now don't go off on a plethora of philosophical tangents, as you're wont to do. Don't point fingers elsewhere.  Don't waffle. Don't pull your tired flip-flop. You can't have it both ways, dude. Just MAKE UP YOUR MIND AND ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION.
